The Stun Baton also has 6 inch long metal strips running from the tip, down it's length, and will deliver a shock when touched anywhere within this six inch area. This prevents an assailant from grabbing it and taking it away.

Many of our customers ask about the effectiveness of the stun baton on an attacking dog; their concern being, if their dog is attacked by another dog and they use the stun baton against the attacker, will their dog feel the effects of the stun also. The answer is an unequivocal NO! And the reports that we've received is that these stun batons work great against attacking dogs.

The design of the stun baton - and all of our stun guns, for that matter - is for the stunning device to dump it's electrical charge into the body tissue and muscle mass directly surrounding the contact point. The stun gun charge is absorbed by these surrounding muscles and cannot be transferred to other parts of the body, a grounding point, or another person - or dog, in this case - that is in contact with the attacker.
