Anatoly Metlan
Anatoly Metlan was born in 1964 in Yalta, situated in the Ukraine and by the Black Sea. As a child, he fiddled with the “paintbrush” and the “paint” which he received from his parents who had both experimented with art. Metlan grew very found of the impressionist artists and their wonderful creations. He was attracted towards their use of color, space and texture. He spent many years perfecting his personal and individual style but never the everlasting influence, which he fell in love with as a boy. In 1985 he completed his High School Studies at a school of the arts and was admitted to study at the “Krivoi Rog” University, South of Ukraine. During his University years he exhibited extensively and slowly built a solid name for himself as a respected artist and in 1989 was accepted to the Ukraine Artists Guild. As soon as the “Iron Gate” was opened in the USSR, Metlan and his family made the decision to immigrate to Israel. During the summer seasons Metlan enjoys traveling to Europe and visiting the areas most precious to him namely, the villages in France and Italy from which he receives his inspiration. Metlan has exhibited in one-man shows and group exhibition worldwide. He artworks can also be viewed in private collections and have received overwhelming status.
